Anson Jones wrote in his account ledger on Dec. 31, 1845 – “… 4 yoke of oxen & wagons ($200)…” As the main vehicles for hauling farm goods, the wagons at Barrington would be painted regularly to protect the wood as well as give them a bit of style. Come help us brush on a new coat of paint on our wagons. This is a special focus weekend at the farm. Contact Ben Baumgartner for more information at 936-878-2214 x246.
