Celebrate Texas Independence at "Independence Eve"

“Independence! A Lone Star Rises” Premier

On March 31 in celebration of Texas History Month, the Washington on the Brazos Historical Foundation will premiere “Independence! A Lone Star Rises”, a documentary film about the of the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence and the creation of a nation at Washington on the Brazos 185 years ago.

The movie is directed by Gary Foreman of Native Sun Productions and features original music by Grammy-nominated composer David Arkenstone. The film is free to view and will premiere on Wednesday, March 31 starting at 10 a.m. CT, with encore presentations at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the Washington-on-the-Brazos Historical FoundationWashington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site, and Texas Historical Commission Facebook pages as well as the Texas Historical Commission YouTube channel.
