Stagecoach Days

Stagecoach Days allow visitors to experience what it was like to travel cross country via mule-driven stagecoach and learn about the Inn’s history and connection with early stage lines. A suggested donation of $4 ($10 with coach ride) for adults and $2 ($5 with coach ride) for children to tour the Inn and ride the coach helps support the site. Coach rides last approximately 15 minutes and Inn tours for 30-45 minutes. Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Contact Jon Failor at (936) 878-2214, ext. 224 or jon.failor@tpwd.texas.gov.
               Special Focus on September 9: Bundles for Baskets – Join the staff at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3
p.m. for “Bundles for Baskets.” Visitors will discover the techniques and skills needed to build
storage containers in early Texas—a time when Tupperware didn’t exist.
