Tombstone Trail

As darkness falls along the banks of the Brazos River we invite you to travel down the Tombstone Trail. Your journey will wind you through the heart of Old Washington where ghostly tales from Texas’ past will come to life. From the echoing howls of the Ghost Dogs of Orizumbo to the sorrowful weeping of a grief-stricken mother, these stories are sure to send a chill down your spine. Explore exhibits at the Star of the Republic Museum by flashlight from 6:45-9pm. Food truck on site for snacks and drinks. Walking trail is 3/4 mile over uneven gravel path with an up hill climb. This program is not suitable for strollers, walkers or wheelchairs. Dress appropriate for the weather and walking conditions. Closed toed shoes and bug spray is recommended. Small Flashlights are suggested.*Due to the macabre nature of the subject matter this program is not recommended for guests under the age of 8* Tours leave every 15 minutes with a maximum of 20 per group.
