Dragoons Dismount – Tour and Stagecoach Rides

This month we are commemorating the 180th anniversary of one of the most important visits in Fanthorp’s history. Discover the story of the 2nd US Dragoons who camped near the inn in the summer of 1845 among them were men who would go on to great fame in the Civil War such as Henry Sibley, William Hardee, and David Twiggs.
Saturday only, from 11-3, Take a ride through history and experience what travel in early Texas was truly like on our replica stagecoach. Texas Historical Commission presents Fanthorp Inn to you without admission fees but with a suggested donation of $4 ($15 w/ coach ride) for adults and $2 ($10 w/ coach ride) for children.
