Archeology Tours

October is Texas Archaeology Month and this year visitors can experience a once in a lifetime excavation of the remains of the town of Washington! Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in October at 11 am, 30–45-minute guided walking tours of the ongoing archaeological work at Washington-on-the-Brazos will be offered to the public. Visitors will learn about the Archaeological process, and the history of what is being uncovered. They will get to speak with in the field archaeologists and visit the field lab to see what has been uncovered from the Foundations of the Texas Republic.
