Find new appreciation for modern medicine and your doctor! Medicine in the 1850s utilized strange and painful treatments, which were more likely to harm you than help you. Learn what techniques and treatments Dr. Anson Jones and his colleagues would perform. This presentation will involve plenty of hands-on activities for visitors of all ages. This program will begin at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the porch of the Anson Jones home at Barrington Living History Farm. The program is approximately one hour long.
