Fanthorp Focus Weekend: “Amnesty for All Offenses” Fanthorp & Reconstruction

Travel back to the summer of 1865 and the conclusion of the Civil War. Discover the story of how Henry Fanthorp received a Presidential Pardon from Andrew Johnson in 1865. The Juneteenth General Orders will be read at 11, 1, and 3. Visitors will have the opportunity to sign Loyalty Oaths and Paroles of Honor just as Henry Fanthorp did on July 11, 1865.
