Washington on the Brazos is proud to celebrate Juneteenth as a part of Washington County’s long history of marking the end of slavery in Texas.
This year the event will focus on the evolution of black music in Texas. We will celebrate the legacy and evolution of Black music, with a great lineup of artists from across all genres. Music line up is below:

Culture & Craft Booths: Special Exhibit on local Blues Musician Mance Lipscomb, Lifetime Learning, Brenham Heritage Museum, PVAMU Trail Riders, Family Search, Long Life Brotherhood Lodge, and the Cooking General, Wilo’s Touch, Jazzy Jewelry, Just Ring It, and Just Jonesin’.
Barrington will have a cooking in the Quarter program and a Shadows Exhibit dedicated to the enslaved that lived at Barrington.

This event is dedicated to the memory of Judge Eddie E. Harrison who pioneered the now annual commemoration in 2017 and who’s legacy looms large over the entirety of Washington County and the Brazos Valley.
