Living History Saturday: Legend and Lore of Texas Wildflowers

04/15/2023, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Travel back in time to where a nation was born in 1836 and witness the events of Old Washington.
The native flora of Texas have inspired generations with their beauty. Countless stories, legends, and folk tales have been shared telling what and why a plant is what it is. Some are symbols of hope and survival, others are food and medicine. Join us as we look at some of the tales of our favorite wildflowers as we make our way down park trails at 11, 1, and 3; or sit and chat with us at Independence Hall. This event is weather dependent, other activities may be substituted. Please dress appropriately for the weather. For more information contact Adam or Tynan at 936-878-2214
