10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

A Texas-sized 179th birthday celebration with music, food, traditional crafts, living history presentations, firing demonstrations, historical encampments and period craft demonstrations. Guests step back into history at this state park to experience life in Texas in 1836. Visit with reenactors and witness firing demonstrations in the Texas Army camps, as well as a virtual townsite tour. Attendees can walk the same trail as our Texas forefathers and pioneer families, and witness cooking, weaving and period craft demonstrations. Texas musicians will provide musical entertainment at the event, including Lone Star String Band and the Great American Medicine Show. Come celebrate Texas Independence at this two-day celebration featuring special activities and attractions. Admission fees for all park attractions are waived during this Celebration weekend only.
